Jan/08: Vault of Punk Horror Out Now!
Nearly four years in the making, the book features fifteen tales of truly punk rock and horror fiction. With stories from award winning and fist time authors alike it is a unique new breed of horror anthology. And even better it has an introduction from Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister fame.
What’s more, is in keeping with the desire to do more for the world in general, proceeds from The Vault of Punk Horror will be benefiting the Alaskan Women’s Network. A group dedicated to bringing safety and security to the women and children of Alaska.

Aug 07: I’ll be doing additional reviews and commentary on a new Blog I started called “Postcards from a Dying World”. I am also doing book reviews for Monster Librarian and have one coming up in Apex online.
Here is the Blog Da blog yo!
June 07' Wow! A lot of good news: The international book tour supporting Screams from a Dying World went well! Thank You to everyone who helped with that. You can find a pod cast of interviews I did during the tour on the press page. I also put up a reviews page, and photos page, which for now is a link to my photo bucket album. Check ‘em out.
Three excellent pieces of news to report: I turned in the screenplay for The Slaughter, which is in development with Ahimsa Pictures International, and finished my first novel Hunting the Moon Tribe, which I’m now editing and shopping. My most exciting news is that after years in works, The Vault of Punk Horror anthology, which I co-edited, comes out in August! It features an introduction by Dee Snyder and stories by John Shirley, Jeremy Robert Johnson, Lisa Morton, Cody Goodfellow and lots more. So buy the sucker - it benefits the Alaskan Woman’s Network, combating domestic violence in Alaska

We haven’t sent out review copies yet, but very soon and when they come in I’ll add a reviews page. It’s a benefit project for Animal Acres farmed animal sanctuary. To promote the book I’m doing a three city book tour. Three awesome bookstores! Each event will include readings from the gutter limits and new short story, book signing and Q and A. I promise a fun time! So if you’re near these cities stop by!

10/06: Screams from a Dying World out this month!
How will you face the end? With a whimper or a scream? Screams from a Dying World my new collection featuring six politically charged horror tales. Full color cover – hand bound and stitched. It looks great. Available now for pre-order from Punk Horror press. For more details check out www.punkhorror.com
Also I have started the script for a horror film called ‘The Slaughter’ for Ahimsa Pictures. They are also working on documentary called 'the Food Revolution' . More details next year…
7/06:Big news! My first collection of short stories entitled Screams from a Dying World will be published in October by Punk Horror press. We debated on the number of stories and settled on five including Buffalo Trace, Grandpy’s Spirit that Never Was, Fertility, Normal and Coast to Coast. There will be a haunted slaughterhouse, union strikes, eco-terrorism, buffalo ghosts, rednecks terrorizing punk rockers, alien invasions and even a twenty-forth century sexual oddity-obsessed genetic engineer.
For more details check out www.punkhorror.com . The book will be illustrated by artist Rick Clarke. Also I'm signing The Gutter Limits At Bluestocking books in San Diego on August 19th at 2 PM. It's a part of mass signing of San Diego horror writers. Stop by!
As for screenwriting news, I’m still plugging away at promoting my two latest horror scripts Hellsville and Home for the Summer. Hellsville is a gothic horror story with a political underbelly that descends into a visceral show down (you won’t wanna be eating your popcorn). Home for the Summer is more of a popcorn movie to which I loosely liken The Breakfast Club with some pretty scary vampires, the scary kind who care more about eating people than looking Victorian or goth.
5/06: Lots of updates to the site. Check out the new About the Author bio and The Gutter Limits section on the Short Fiction page. There are also new loglines for my two most recent screenplays Hellsville and Home for the Summer, and most exciting is the update to the Novels/Graphic Novels page.
I’m currently collaborating with artist Rick Clarke to develop a graphic novel based on my screenplay Last Warriors of the Earth, a science fiction/martial arts epic that comes with a message of ecological awareness. Check out some of the promotional materials and let me know what you think. We’ll be creating a promo booklet with completed pages that we can shop at Comic Con. So wish us luck.
Don’t forget: if you don’t have it yet, The Gutter Limits is available for sale on www.punkhorror.com
4/06 : My first chapbook, co-written with friends is available now for pre-order. It's called the Gutter Limits and it's under the pen name Booger Murphy. Fun stuff! Please buy a copy! www.punkhorror.com
3/06: My new screenplay Hellsville got really good coverage of late, I have used the advice to craft a second draft. I will be marketing that soon, it is a haunted hospital story that has a lot of visceral elements. Our small press Punk Horror is putting out a chapbook called the Gutter Limits written under the pen name Booger Murphy. It’s not a real secret that Booger is fictional character; the authors of the Gutter limits are myself, Cari Beltane, Gabriel Llans and Paul Stuart. For more details or to preorder a copy check out www.punkhorror.com. Also sign up to the punk horror e-mailing list and you will get free Booger Murphy fiction monthly.
12/05:No update for awhile; it’s a long story, but I spent 80 days in prison, having committed no crime, simply for standing up for my First Amendment rights as an activist. If you want more details on that, you can look at articles about it on the press page. The good news is that I wrote almost 180 pages of fiction, including 12 chapters of a novel, several short stories and some flash fiction pieces. Because of my time incarcerated, work on the Vault of Punk horror was delayed. We had to close submissions, but will reopen them soon.
Also exciting is that I am helping to form a flash fiction collective which will be publishing a chapbook in the spring under the Punk Horror label. For more info on the flash fiction collective and the Vault, stay tuned to www.punkhorror.com
Thanks to Ryan Love for the trip to the haunted cemetery and the picture.
6/10/05: Lots of great news: First, I am co-editing a charity horror anthology with my friend Gabriel Llanas entitled the Vault of Punk Horror! If you want details, you can read the whole press release on my new Press Releases page. Besides that, I have several new short stories listed and some new samples, including one from a new short called "Grandpy's Spirit That Never Was". It was written as a birthday gift for my father and my aunt. I'm proud of it;
I hope you check it out. Also, the 3rd draft of "Hunting the Moon Tribe" is finished and will be up on inktip (a marketplace for producers) soon.
3/24/05: I have some new short stories up on the short fiction page. I did a live reading of Killing Billions at a Kung Food open mic that was very well recieved. Last I am working a further drafts of my screenplays before making new effort to option them. More news soon.
1/10/05
Cari and I have finished a few short stories together and I have written a few on my own. Stay tuned for publishing info.
8/2004
Hunting the Moon Tribe placed as a quarter finalist in the Nicholl Fellowship. The Nicholl is a non-professional screenwriting contest presented by the Oscars. Hunting the Moon Tribe was also the highest placing horror script.
“The true weird tale has something more than a secret murder, bloody bones, or a sheeted form clanking chains according to rule. A certain atmosphere of breathless and unexplainable dread of outer, unknown forces must be present; and there must be a hint ,expressed with seriousness and portentousness becoming it’s subject, of terrible conception of the human brain- a malign and particular suspension or defeat of those fixed laws of nature which are our only safeguard against the assaults of chaos” – HP Lovecraft
