Revolutionary Dark Fiction

Hellsville

To the Development Department:

“Every Hospital I’ve ever been in has been haunted.” –Anne Engle, protagonist of Hellsville.

No one ever wants to go to the hospital but at some point most of us do. I have written a script that plays on our natural fear of a place that is common to everyone. Hellsville is the story of a nurse assigned to an isolated hospital who fights to save a young terminally-ill patient only to uncover a supernatural presence and a dark cult performing hideous experiments.

More than just a gothic horror story, Hellsville is the atmospheric ghost story (think “The Others” or “The Ring”) which descends into the visceral territory of horror in the vein of “Hellraiser” or “Saw”. The result is a script that would make a multiple-dimensional film appealing to both mainstream and hardcore horror fans.

I am the author of seven spec scripts including Hunting the Moon Tribe, which was a first-round finalist in the Dimension Films Open Door screenwriting contest in 2002 and a quarter finalist in the Nicholl fellowship contest in 2004.

May I send a copy of my script? I am available to pitch Hellsville and my other scripts.

Sincerely,

David Agranoff
